All types of thrombosis: learn everything now! Causes, symptoms and prevention

Doctors refer to thrombosis as a disease in which a blood clot prevents uninterrupted blood flow. The cause of thrombosis is the property or ability of the blood to clot. If something like this happens in an artery or vein, the blood builds up and the necessary supply to the body is at risk. There are several causes that cause thrombosis: For example, the blood cannot flow freely through the blood vessels due to damage or deposits on the blood vessel wall. It may also be that the blood flows more slowly due to dilated veins or that it runs faster than normal due to genetic coagulation disorders, autoimmune or cancer. The age of the person affected plays an important role in thrombosis. The older the person is, the higher the risk of thrombosis. This has to do with the fact that people move less in old age and the muscle breakdown becomes much slower. As a result, the blood transport in the veins is no longer supported as well and the blood flow is obstructed. Above all, the connective tissue, which is an important function for the blood vessels, becomes weaker in old age and if this does not work, the external pressure on the veins decreases. This creates varicose veins that reduce blood speed and can therefore increase the risk of thrombosis.
